& Sailing Center Director Lanzarote Marina RubiconBocha is co-founder of Optisailors, and is now joining the Dinghycoach team to help provide the best coaching for young sailors. He has been a sailor in Optimist, Cadet, Lightning, 470, 29er & 49er classes. In all of them competing at international level and achieving good performance. Has also been part of J80 & Melges 32 campaigns, including participation in World Championship. He is the Sailing Director of the training base in Lanzarote. Bocha has been coaching since 1999, for many teams, in different nations. He has a lot of experience on a wide variety of classes.

CoachJochem-Bart is an experienced Laser Sailor, achieving several top-15 finishes at Laser Standard Youth European- and World Championships. Since 2011 JB is coaching different sailors on different levels in the Optimist, Laser4.7 and Laser Radial. Since 2013 JB is working with the Dutch National Optimist team together with Pim & Roelof. His skills, expertise in Optimist boat handling and patience works great in combination with the Optimist sailors, achieving steep learning curves and quick gains on boatspeed and boathandling.

CoachRick has sailed several IODA Optimist European and World Championships coached by Pim. After sailing in the Optimist Rick continued in the Laser 4.7, Laser Radial & Laser Standard in which he has been consistently a part of the National teams or National Youth teams. Rick is now studying as a Maritime officier and coaching a lot. He is responsible for coaching the Dutch Optimist National Youth Team together with Demi.

About Demi van der Meer
CoachDemi has been a successful Optimist and 420 sailor and a member of the Dutch National teams for years. As an optimist sailor he has competed in several World and European championships with Pim as his coach. He also is a very experienced team racing coming 5th at the 2011 Optimist Teamracing World Championships in New Zealand and also finishing 5th at the 2012 Optimist Teamracing European Championships in Italy. Now he is focussing his efforts on coaching and has found a passion for making young sailors better. As a sailor Demi was coached by Pim and now they work together again as colleagues, because they are used to working together their coaching styles are very similar as well! With 19 years old, he is the youngest and one of the most talented coaches in DinghyCoach and also in the Dutch National Optimist coaching team. His experience as a high level Optimist sailor going to several Worlds and European Championships makes him succesful in his hands-on coaching approach.

About Gonzalo Morales Quintana
CoachGonzalo is a very succesful dinghy and big-boat sailor and has been sailing as a professional in the GP42 & RC44 circuit since 2007. He is a 6 time Spanish National champion in different classes and among his other sailing achievements are a Silver medal at Snipe Europeans, Silver medal at J80 worlds and Audi Med-Cup Winner. In short an all round guy with a wealth of knowledge! Besides sailing as a pro he is also a very succesful coach and sailmaker with his own sailloft on the island of Lanzarote! As a coach, Gonzalo has coached Spanish laser sailors to great achievements, among which a 4th place at Laser4.7 Worlds in 2011 and a Silver medal at the U21 Radial Worlds 2012.

Floris is currently in the Dutch Sailing Federation 49er Talent team and training to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Next to sailing he also coaches with DinghyCoach during several Optimist or Laser National trainings and clinics in the Netherlands or internationally. He enjoys guiding athletes to a higher level and his own experience as an athlete helps him to guide younger sailors on a mental and physical level.

About Jolbert van Dijk
CoachJolbert has been sailing in a wide variety of classes himself over the past years. He started out in Optimists with Pim as his coach and finished 9th at the 2008 Optimist Worlds. After sailing Opti’s he continued in the Laser4.7 but soon after decided the faster high performance multi hulls and skiffs like the F18 catamaran and 49ers. Jolbert went on to win the Youth World Title in the Nacra Worlds 2012 and he is currently part of the Dutch Sailing Federation 49er Talent team sailing several EuroSaf and WorldCup events.

What kind of clinics do you organize?
We organize all sorts of clinics in several locations for several clinics. Most clinics are for Lasers and Optimist but on occasion we also organize Skiff or multihull clinics. For our full clinic overview, please click here.
Do I have to register online?
Yes, to book your spot, please register for any of the clinics online. Your registration is confirmed as soon as payment or deposit is received.
Can I register multiple sailors for the same clinic?
Yes, to register more than one sailor, please select quantity tickets on the clinic registration page. You will then get the option to register a second/third/fourth/etc sailor for this clinic.
Is a charter boat included in the clinic?
Some clinics will have charter boats included but most are excl. charters. This information will always be stated on the clinic/event registration page so please read this page carefully.
What should I bring if I charter a boat
If you charter an Optimist with us usually you should bring your:
– Sail ties
– Wind indicator
If you charter a Laser with us, usually you should bring your:
– Sail + Batons
– Control lines + blocks, meaning: Vang system, Outhaul system, Cunningham system
– Traveler + traveler Block
– Tiller + Extention

How can I pay for my clinic or regatta coaching?
Every clinic registration page shows an option to book the clinic and pay directly online using iDeal, Creditcard payment or the option to get an Automatic invoice so you can pay by bank transfer. Please note that your clinic registration is only confirmed when payment is received.
Is accommodation included during my clinics?
Most clinics are excl. accommodation. However, some clinics will have accommodation included in the clinic fee. In this case there will also be the option to book excl. accommodation. The accommodation information will always be stated on the clinic/event registration page so please read the page carefully.
What is the best way to contact you?

Who will be my coach during my clinic?
We believe that coaching is an essential part of athletic progress. Our team of professional coaches is eager to improve and test your sailing skills. Usually the coach will be indicated on every clinic/event registration page. In case this is not indicated you can expect the coach to be one of our DinghyCoach coaches, meet them here.
Does Dinghycoach offer Private/Group trainings?
